THE GREATEST SHOW EVER!!
who would have seen this coming?? well, we did. we like their music, they like our music, we like their live shows, they like our live shows, we both like dipset, both are hardcore raw crews... might as well do a show together right????
2 different backgrounds of music but one same mindstate...live shows and hardcore raw music!!!
so the 2 will clash on 11-28-04 @ bernies dist.
performing live...
Spitball - hardcore hiphop, backed by the producer of the columbus hiphop moshing anthem "hold the floor" and emcees who could care less about winning a battle, they just want to take your girl home.
Killed In Action - hardcore thrash, a group of faceless assholes who will ruin fun when giving the oppurtunity.
both groups are hailing from columbus ohio.
and this will be dipset appreciation nite. so be sure to where your pink and purple gear or rags.
so all this is taking place where???
bernies distillery 1896 n. high st.
time- 10:30pm-2:30am.
cost? 5bux
believe me, you do not want to miss this show!!!!
and also, this will be the weekend of the 4yr. anniversary of our good friend TABOO passing away @ bernies. R.I.P. TABOO!! so he will be remembered as well!!
peace...pos!!

how would you know??? you're never there. yes we do play dipset but not all like that.
the appreciation nites are done different then any other nite anyways. you'll get about a 20-30min. mix of dipset tracks in a row to show our appreciation for the purple punch gang. plus with everybody wearing their pink gear or purple rags, this will be a site to see. keep they hype going. then right into the show to keep the energy flowing.
get the hype now?
this nite will be worth attending!!!

Killed In Action/Spitball
Bernie’s, Sunday November 30th
Killed in Action is a thrash band. They will be the first non-Rap act to play Bernie’s Hip Hop Night. Call it Bring the Noise 2004, with DJ Przm’s Spitball crew playing the roll of
Public Enemy, if P.E. was envisioned in a cloud of Flavor Flav’s crack smoke as the future of ignorant ,silly Hardcore Hip Hop. As far the Anthrax end of this billing, Killed in Action was formed in 1999, emerged from the Legion Of Doom Hardcore scene and have become notorious for outrageous shows, like a 2003 destructive Red 16 performance which was ended by the Columbus Police Department. Their second album on Oakland’s Six Weeks Label, called “We Ruin Fun”, is a staunchly Columbus record, in which the band claims the superiority of Bustown over NYC on “C.R.A.A.C.”, criticizes Suburban Sprawl on “Bring Back the Old School Malls” , and lovingly sends-up the P.C. Tradition of Columbus hardcore on “Mike Thorn is Gonna Hate This Song”. The band’s sharp wit and awareness of local culture led them to embrace the Columbus Hip Hop scene, which in turn was reciprocated due to the love of energy and a mutual appreciation of the irony involved with the grotesque individualism of both Punk and Rap.-Wes Flexner

THANKS to those who cameout lastnite. a mess of chaos with a venue that was just fitting for it. i enjoyed myself. im down to do it again.
i had no idea bernies started a security team with handcuffs??? that was just plain out wrong what went down lastnite and i will be voicing my opinions to the owners this week. that shit was very unnecessary and wrong. that man had no authority to put anybody in handcuffs, espicially something as minor as of tagging. geez, they spend money on some security but won't get some decent sound up in that bitch that has been needing it for sometime now?? some backwards b.s.
killed in action, you guys rocked it. i enjoyed the set alot. always some wild shit. the crowd was halfass with the show but i honestly thought they didn't know what was going on and was just observing the whole energy aspect of it. and harkins voicing his opinion was the icing on the cake!!
thanks again!

Nov 29 2004, 12:49 PM
no, it was like halfway through their set actually. i didn't see it happen but one cat, who's name is slipping my mind right now, ran up and told me what had just went down. i went into the kitchen to were the security guy had handcuffed the dude and was trying figure out what the fuck was going on. it was a big mess but once i got all the info and told the boys of the guy who was in handcuffs, everything was chill but everybody was still upset about the whole handcuff situation, me included. things were about to get real ugly too about that.

The funny thing is at the end of the night everyone thought that annoying light skinned muhfucka with the braids was going to get beat down by Brandon and crew and nothing happened. But Frank,Wes, Tame,Lo and Paul of all people was upstairs beating the shit outta these drunken buckeyes who was starting shit and wasn't even at the show. And no, noone got it on camera. Alan Greenspin getting gangsta and almost everyone missed it. What a fuckin' shame.
